on an ordinary day

01.11.2005 // 4:46 p.m.

i've just finished reading a dreadfully dull and contradictory introduction to shakespeare's sonnets... in which it is debated who indeed is the mysterious W.H. to whom the original publication of the sonnets is dedicated... and whether they are in fact in the order intended by the great bard himself and so on and so forth...

there are so many different possibilities, which is why i wonder at the wisdom of an assignment that demands reading endless pages devoted to the possibilities... if numerous scholars cannot decide between themselves, how am i, a mere student to venture any sort of reasonable guess?

on an ordinary day, i am exactly the sort of person who delights in reading introductory material... but today, i'm terribly frustrated and anxious wondering if indeed my class will *ever* venture to read and discuss any shakespeare at all...

tonight's assignment will at least entertain me... a journey into william blake's mind... paraphrasing and analysis of both versions of holy thursday (from songs of innocence and songs of experience)...

i probably haven't allowed enough time for the assignment, but life is like that these days... i'm constantly running late & i'm perpetually distracted...

i probably shouldn't eleborate... but here it is... i've "met" someone online who i find both incredibly amusing & intelligent... in so many ways, he fulfills what i'm looking for in an ideal mate... which is both extremely frightening & extremely exciting... after chatting for a while online, followed a ridiculous number of lengthy late night conversations, we've decided to meet sometime soon... and the anticipation is killing me... i think my head might implode
